Truth lies Within the Rebuddle

To respond to the truth/lie article, I'd like to first point out that, Daniel, you're too focused on the results and end locations of these two entities. What I believe is more worthy of debate is the motive behind these two. What if one tells a lie, but does so because he believes it is the truth. This is ignorance, and it presents itself as a third dimension and a gray area for truth and lies. So, there is NOT in fact a fine line between truth and lies; we must consider all facets before we can confirm an absolute.

In response to your argument regarding the power of lies and truths, I must say that you have overestimated their influence. Yes, their potential power is great, but it is dependent not on the truth, lie, or teller, but on the recipient. He who chooses to believe a lie to its very end gives it power, and he who decides to disregard the truth turns down that same influence. Hence, the result of truths and lies are dependent on this very important factor that Daniel had not addressed.

Understanding the conventional concept of truth being good and lies being bad, we must consider that there is no absolute representation of both. Should lies told in good nature be clumped together with deceitful lies? Should truths told out of spite be categorized with the near angelic ideal we hold of the truth? No, and here is where the gray area shows itself. Since an absolute definition of a truth or lie is impossible, we must reconsider the power that they hold and their importance in general.

To tie this argument in with Christianity, I'd like to draw attention to the blind faith that many attribute to the religion. The world was created in 7 days. Evolution is a lie. Again, in considering the fact that evolution is a lie, we must begin by questioning the motive. Why would Charles Darwin try to revolutionize a powerfully held belief? Why did Copernicus and Galileo try to prove that the world was not in fact flat? The answer is very simple: they had proofs from sources that simply cannot lie. Numbers do not lie. They may mislead and be misinterpreted, but a 1 will not say it is a 78. Darwin discovered solid rock hard proof, no pun intended, which strongly suggested an evolutionary source for all life. Granted, his theory is not completely seamless, through which several religious heretics decided to bring up. Here lies the main conflict between religion and science. Whereas science bases its decisions and findings off objects that cannot lie, such as a fossil, religion has its foundation in a faith that a greater being is all TRUTH. The reason many religious zealots try to refute an ideal that has so strongly supported and suggested is that if they do accept it, the entire foundation they have built their culture on will crumble and fall. Why does one choose to believe an entity that does cannot be seen, heard, smelt, or tasted? We can even take this further by mentioning that this entity cannot even be comprehended, since he is all "truth" and his "justice" is the same as his "mercy." Christians will simply say, "That's God; he can't be understood." Okay, so you've based your entire theory of life and living on someone that you can't understand, have no proof that he loves you, and pretty much living in fear?

And don't come to me and say, "How would you feel if God refused to believe in YOU?" Does that even makes sense? One, how does something that doesn't exist believe? And secondly, go ahead and don't believe in me; I'm not going to convince other people that I'm going to rain down a hail of meteors on you.

Truth or Lie?... or Truth???

There is a fine line between truth and deceit. Truth is essence is the utmost, undeniable embodiment of that which is. Truth is somewhat of a miracle when one thinks about it and holds great power in all that it encompasses. Yet, lies, the very opposite, consists of fallacy and any embodiment which is untrue or misleading. it holds great power as well as it can create the spark to light entire battlefields of war and bring society crumbling to its knees.

So, just how is a lie undiscerning to the truth? Both are ideas, perceptions of senses, of the mind, even of the spiritual and unknown. As one can start to see, the truth and deceit begin to become similar as one undeniably begins to refute that which is; one cannot see truth for what it is, for it is perceived as that which cannot be. As far as it goes, the truth is absolute and only can be as it is, the whole revelation of essence and of being. Lies can be fabricated to form whatever fits the purpose or agenda of its respective charlatan.

Given the understood rebuttal suggesting the great disparity between the two is the concept that lies are synthetic and the truth is genuine, consider a summation of variables. Can truth really exist if it is uttered, created, FABRICATED, through the lips of a man? Can lies be categorized as lies if it holds integrity?

Many parts of this world goes unexplained and thus discerning absolutes from fallacious fabrications become acts of futility. To say the world is run by lies would be undeniably the truth, yet in reality, can it be an absolute? It is through such understandings that man depicts the truth as that which cannot be refuted in acts of passionate abandon, such as the truth in sought of longevity by all men facing death or willingness to sacrifice life for a loved one.
To state from a religious side note, as a Christian, I personally see lies everywhere except that which is given to me through God for it is stated that he is the truth, and that he will guide my way. I vouch for the faith myself through the life I live and that which happens in my life which goes beyond reason or primal instinct.
So in essence, truth and lies are similar in this world because in all truth(paradox I know), truth is difficult to find and is thus fabricated by man to hold the validity it holds today. So if one would like to tell me what is truth and what is a lie, tell me, what is the difference between a fabrication of an idea and a fabrication of an idea.
Think about it.

This blog struck me hard while I was watching Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Ep.8. Yes, to answer your question I do watch this stuff, no judgments please. To discern truth from lie is difficult and to take it to a religious level takes a bit of finesse to say the least and I personally found it is a good starting debate topic. So with that said, you tell me what is true; can you even say that this blog is true???

Like a said before, think about it.

First thoughts and community

So everyone who has come to visit and browse the blog, welcome! First, I just want to say don't be afraid to voice your opinion because no one will judge you and I will adhere to such a promise personally. I say this because this blog's virtue comes from the fact that it is made so it will be spread by word alone by the people of this community. Thus, the blog will be made of a population of fellow bloggers which we trust and are on good terms with. This doesn't suggest that the blog is made for an exclusive group of members! Please don't think of it like that. If anything, I personally would love if the community is large because that only brings a greater discussion group and better community. The only reason I see for a "person-to-person relay spread" of the site is so that the community retains its integrity for what it is and does not exclude or make open pariahs of individuals who voice their open opinions.

So in essence I want the blog to be openly fun and heated in great discussion so it keeps more and more ideas flowing in; the blog is essentially a community so from me to you, let's work hard to keep it that way.

So with that said, here's what I kinda feel from my ideas as a Christian: The people are really like sheep. Funny right? People always say that and always have an idea of the notion, but hey, simple ideas get bigger discussions started right? Well my notion on the statement follows as so: sheep are fairly domestic animals, have a Shepherd and generally are attacked by many other paraphernalia. Well, men and women alike keep to household regulations, know how to obey, and of course are housebroken. The population looks toward leaders such as Mr. President, Barack Obama, and icons, i.e. #24 Kobe Bryant, who are iconic figures in society to say the least. Looking at WW1, 2, the Vietnam war, Operation Desert Storm, I think we all know that people are always attacked.

So what's my elaboration on this? Well here's a thought, if we all are like sheep then why do we as people always ask for more? Sheep have Shepherds, produce wool, and can live pretty peacefully as long as they don't fight amongst each other. As so, people have leaders and various other guardians protecting them, produce various assets for each other such as goods or skills, and can live peacefully amongst each other if they didn't fight.
On a related, religious note, sheep have wool which they only need to keep for the most part for warmth. Any excessive wool can be given away or else it's just something that is kept to show off. Aren't people the same way?
Well going back to the discussion. Mainly, this idea comes as a religious blog and I know it seems pretty tangent to the whole idea-discussion purpose of the blog, but kinda felt the need to address the idea of the somewhat excessive nature of concern within the world through the parable of the sheep.
We all have concerns and needs, of course, but it can simply be resolved in any manner if the intent is good and the worry is not elevated to the level of dire importance. Such concerns like "What would happen if I don't pass one test?" or "What will happen if I make a mistake in my performance?" should always be taken as what they are, a single step in life, not the do or die situation that defines whether one lives or dies. Not that I'm saying that we should all "go with the flow" per say, because we would all just be playing Starcraft 2 or sleeping for all eternity then, but fight with passion for what we believe in, for that in itself has PURPOSE, rather than over eccentric events which hold only so much meaning in the whole journey that is life.

I know it's a bit of a frivolous blog but it shows the kinds of things I and the population are willing to discuss, not matter what it is.
Peace be to all, and voice your opinion!

What it's all about

Hi to all who visit this blog! This is a blog created by Daniel, yours truly, to discuss the various merits and justifications for various beliefs. Now this isn't some cult or super hyped up discussion group that attacks beliefs and submits only the dominant thoughts of a majority or domineering power. No, this is a simple blog which explores the various beliefs of the populace in any discussion, be it debatable or simply just leisurely. What I really do hope to get through this is better understanding for the topics at hand, be it spiritual (or non-spiritual for those who comply) or even scientific and come to better terms with ideas rather than staying at multiple philosophical cutthroats.

You may notice there will be a great amount of religious debate because my good friend Kevin, extensive thinker I must add, and I continue to debate the validity of my faith, that of which is Christianity. (No offense to all other faiths and religions) We will likely continue such debates for a while and feel free to interject at any time, but please keep it appropriate, and relatively G-rated.

Other than that which was stated, I ask that you do not harass individuals in any way for this is a friendly community, that which I hope will bring better relations and not start wars between races, faiths, and schools, the world has far too many of those already.

So with that said, feel free to express your opinions and feel welcomed to this blogging community!
