If one feels devoid of something, that's normal. Why? Let me suggest a rhetorical question. Why does anyone have feelings of need in the first place? From a viewpoint completely devoid of any biased (religious or theological) views, I say it is because they have desire or a passion to complete achieve something. Returning to the more personal oriented persona, This view can easily be said to be the reason that mass waves of self-imposed, depression related suicides don't occur. Crazy? Sure. Feasible? Hear me out.
Imagine that YOU were in the peak of what the world calls success. You really do wake up in the morning feeling like P-Diddy, have a perfect body fit to do anything that doesn't change, live in a mansion with the works, have the girl of your dream as your wife, and live in a world where wars and violence cease and you can afford to enjoy life in all entirety. Feel free to add any accommodation you would like in the aesthetic kind of realm, be it your own rooftop football field or an arena for limo jousting, go for it. Now life would be a breaze right? So tell me, if you feel content living that way, won't you eventually get bored? When you explore all that you can, go places, see the sights, explore exotic things in all its splendor, what will happen then? May I remind you, you have a life of luxury and you won't feel any stress or struggle. Then what will happen. Frankly, too much of a good thing is a bad thing can stand on its own merits here because you have all that is good to even feel anything good anymore. Basically, you won't feel any stress or struggle, and you aren't allowed to.So where is this going? Well at the moment back to where we began. We all feel kind of missing something in our daily lives. If you're a nerd, then I would think it would be to understand everything you are aiming to learn or get a higher grade than the person next to you, it's all good, just admit it. The thing is, that something that is missing is the very reason we live. I don't wanna sound like the insightful wise man who thinks he knows everything so be free to reject it, I welcome it. That feeling, in entirety, is the meaning of life.
The story is basically calling up the parable, "If you have everything you possibly want, then what would you want?" and asking "If you have everything won't you have to lose something to want again?" That principle goes for all things, essentially saying that in imperfection, we as people are perfect.
I want to pull this in a more religion oriented direction because it brings a greater thought on my part. In my personal Christian belief, I live to carry out the will of the Father, whatever it may be. I know firsthand what the deacons say it will not be easy; fighting for beliefs, living a good life that shows my faith in an act of preaching, and facing ridicule at every turn for the life that I live, I get it. The thing is, in that sense, in terms of living, I would say it's very easy. I sound pretty warped, I know, but I must say, living a life through almost every imperfection, makes moving forward very hard, but living, or having a passion or desire as stated, is all too easy. I live with one thing in mind and aim to achieve it at every turn so all I have to do is work. Glum? Please. I live with a passion and that I'm not quite to sure of myself. I say it's fun. No goal? Well I guess that's true, but I live with a more personal goal that I will not state for the sake of not sounding like a Christ Nazi, and can say I live with a crucial goal in my life.
So in the what am I saying? When you feel like something's missing, don't think it's a bad thing. If ANYTHING, it is what makes you a person. Just don't give up I should say, we all do somewhere along the lines and know where that leads us. Late nights, super emotional music, looking for bfs/gfs, turn to drugs, etc. etc. Be happy when you feel like you're missing something because you should feel like that's one more exciting goal to pursue, not something to be considered as the infinite void or eternal darkness in the pit of your heart that stands as the reason why you have so many problems -.-. So good luck with this little rant I give. I'm not going to deny it any way because this is how I think, so I'll back it up. It's up to you now you can decide to live or just shut yourself into a box for all eternity because you can say you have nothing missing in life. The choice is yours. Think About It.
